Designed in partnership with Planet3Studios, the Vidyalankar Auditorium is the third significant addition to the Vidyalankar Educational Campus in Mumbai. With a seating capacity of 300, the auditorium design was formulated after an extensive study of sound, the USP of the space. Since sound deserves primacy in hierarchy of considerations, the design mimics its patterns through simulated wave patterns within the given structural volume as it travels through the auditorium.
The goal was to ensure that the spatial form and the materiality of the space work in unison to achieve even sound quality and keep the reverberation factor low - a goal we achieved with finesse.
